Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Club

Shivaji College, University of Delhi, is pleased to announce the establishment of the Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Club in alignment with the objectives and guidelines of the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

The DRR Club, under the guidance of the Principal, Shivaji College, and in collaboration with the Centre for Environment & Disaster Management (CEDM) aims to foster a culture of disaster preparedness, prevention, mitigation and resilience among students and the wider community.

The Club will organise awareness campaigns, expert lectures, workshops, capacity-building programmes, mock drills, first-aid training and community outreach activities related to natural and human-induced hazards such as earthquakes, floods, heatwaves, fires and other emergencies.
